Cooking for Rotary Youth Camp

On July 7th, 2019 a great turnout of Destin Rotarians helped cook and prepare delicious hot dogs and burgers for kids at the Rotary Youth Camp in Defuniak Springs, FL. This wonderful organization is intended for any child with disability from the ages of 6, or completion of kindergarten, through young adulthood. Rotary Youth Camp enables its participants to grow in self-confidence and to experience success in physical activities and social relationships.

Rotary Youth Camp is a nonprofit (501(c)(3) organization, which is managed by a Board of Directors, and primarily sponsored through fundraising efforts of Rotary clubs in Rotary District 6940.  Together these clubs contribute more than $60,000, one third of what it costs to run camp.  The organization also has corporate and individual donors, who donate an average of $85,000 annually.
